Winner – 2026 Best April Fools Joke (Lenawee County)
Awarded by The International Society of Questionable Life Decisions & April Fools Enthusiasts
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Clinton, Michigan
April 2026
The Clinton Inn has been recognized as the 2026 recipient of the “Best April Fools Joke” award, honoring excellence in public misdirection and presentation.
The winning submission, the Clinton Inn Skyway Zip Line Experience, outlined a dual half-mile competitive zipline from the clock tower to Tate Park, presented with the clarity and confidence of a fully operational project.
The review panel noted that the strength of the entry was its execution. Synchronized racing, weather-dependent ride variations, and specialized event scenarios were introduced without hesitation, reinforcing the overall narrative.
Conditions such as ice accumulation, high wind dynamics, and low visibility were described as “progressively unreasonable and highly effective.”
The presentation maintained credibility well beyond expected limits, generating real engagement including reservation attempts and participation inquiries.
Ultimately, the project stood out for its complete commitment to inevitability. At no point was it presented as hypothetical, only as scheduled and already in demand.
